Cecil Cheng, Founder

Cecil holds a Master of Education Learning Design and Technology from University of Southern California (USC), and also sits on the USC Learning Technology and Design advisor board. She has worked at billion-dollar corporations including Edwards Lifesciences and Pretium Partners’ subsidiary, Progress Residential, as well as world-class universities such as USC and UCLA. Currently, Cecil is a senior instructional designer at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Cecil loves creating elearning experiences. 

For fun, Cecil loves to listen to non-fiction bestsellers. Her favorite authors who conduct their own research include Daniel Kahneman, Daniel Pink, Richard Mayer, Esther Perel (case studies), and Raj Raghunathan. She also plays Call of Duty.

Georgette El-Darazi

Georgette is an Educational Analyst in K-12 education. She has a Master of Arts in English Language Teaching and Master

in Education with an emphasis in Educational Technology and Instructional Design from the University of Balamand.

Georgette has 6+ years working in the field of education.

Before working as an analyst, she was a preschool teacher.

Courtney Stephens

Courtney is an instructional designer at Brigham Young University. Her instructional design career has included developing STEM courses for K-12 settings and courses for university settings. She studied instructional technology and learning science at Utah State University. Courtney has also worked as an educator herself, teaching secondary mathematics.

Courtney is passionate about using grounded research to create engaging educational experiences for learners of all ages, especially in STEM fields. In her spare time, she likes to paint and run far too many Dungeons and Dragons campaigns.

Viktoriia Malyshkina, SEO Specialist

Viktoriia is a search engine optimizer from Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Baruch College in January 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing. She has four years of experience with search engine optimization of websites for businesses across various industries, paid advertising (PPC) in Google, Bing, and different social networks. She gained this experience while working at a local web design studio in Brooklyn. She is also currently enrolled in Moscow University for web development. Viktoriia joined the elearningdesigners.org team to help new audience members find our community by making sure our website communicates properly with search engines. Viktoriia raises two sons and enjoys volunteering in Brooklyn’s parks, coffee, chocolate, and art-house film.
